Champagne Voirin Jumel - Rosé
Assembled from 2003 and 2004 vintages. The effervescence of this cuvée is dominated by 60% Pinot Noir with the remaining 40% being Chardonnay. A beautiful balance between elegance and generosity. Refreshing with sorbets or a strawberry tarte. As featured in Le Monde national paper in 2006: This is a seductive rosé Champagne. The nose suggests a delicious cocktail of red fruits. The ensemble is integrated on the palate by the finesse of the bubbles and the joyous sparkle of a persistent mousse. Our champagne is delivered from the Vineyard in perfect condition, a condition we maintain through a regulated temperature environment. Victor Pugatschew is one of the most experienced, well respected and knowledgeable Champagne exporters. Champagne Evangelist, he champions the small grower and as such is well liked and respected amongst Frances small vineyard owners. He comments: The assemblage contains a small amount of reserve wines with the balance from the great 2004 vintage. Pinot Noir 80% and Chardonnay 20%. Lovely lingering strawberry with a touch of balancing tannin. There is length and richness with loads of smoke and spice. A very complex rose indeed. Hard to resist and would go well with a spicy quail dish. The Pinot Noir comes from Grand Cru Ay and 1er Cru Mareuil sur Aÿ. The Chardonnay is from Grand Cru Cramant and 1er Cru Vertus. Vines are an average age of 30 years. "The Champagne Man"
