Vorin Jumel

For four generations, the Voirin and Jumel families have been a family of wine growers, they
produced their first bottle of champagne in 1945 when Champagne was not so famous.

The Voirin Jumel family farms eleven hectares in the Cote des Blancs. Their classification of
Recoltant Manipulant, RM, forbids the buying-in of grapes. Champagne Voirin Jumel is always
produced from the same vines.

The village of Cramant is famous for its prestigious Champagnes classified as Grand Cru, Blanc
de Blancs.

Cramant, situated to the south of Epernay on the renowned chalky slopes of the Côtes des
Blancs, is one of the 17 villages honoured with the label GRAND CRU.

Cramant, a village with 900 residents, is in the middle of The Côte des Blancs. Its name means
"Chalk Mount". Indeed, the ground of chalky sediments ensures an excellent drainage and plays a temperature regulator part. Its white colour reflects the light and heat, contributing to the
fast maturation of the grape.

The art of predicting the evolution of the vins clair – still wine – is a specialised knowledge
and an ancestoral secret which requires great sensory memory.
